Dóris de Hilster, a Brazilian and native of Rio de Janeiro, is in charge of what she calls, "My Girls". Starting out as one of the dancers of SambaLa', she gradually became in charge of the dance group and costumes for the dancers. Today, she has been responsible for making many of SambaLa's dancers the top dancers they are today. The rule at SambaLa': listen to Doris, when it comes to knowing how to dance samba and you will go far!

Valeria Ruggieri
Dance Instructor, Choreographer, Madrinha da Bateria
Valeria started dancing with Sambala in 1998 and has been Princess of the Bateria for 4 years and Queen for 5 years. She has been teaching samba for 7 years and now is Madrinha of the Bateria and the advanced samba instructor for Sambala. She has attended intensive workshops in Rio de Janeiro and has danced samba on Television shows such as Jay Leno, with Will Smith, Nickelodeon – Kids Choice Awards, and Dancing with the Stars.
